The BMW Art Car Project was kicked off by the French race car driver Herve Poulain, who got his mate, artist Alexander Calder to paint a BMW 3.0 CSL. Then Poulain actually raced the thing at Le Mans in 1975. Since then, race and production cars have been painted by David Hockney, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol. This is probably our fave for both car and art. Although Jenny Holzer's V12 LMR Le Mans car is a cracker.
Our Art Car t-shirt is made with 100% Organic compact ringspun cotton single jersey for a great long lasting look and feel. It's a regular fit so if you like a baggy look then go a size up. It's been been printed using the latest digital technology for a soft handle finish and high quality colour definition. All of our products are made to order in ethically certified facilities for the lowest impact on the planet.
